15 October CHRIS LANSDELL joins the Scottish Canoe Association as Marketing Manager. He has more than 20 years’ experience in marketing and public relations consultancy and will be responsible for planning and delivering a Scottish Paddlesport Festival and Exhibition in 2004.

The Commonwealth Games Council for Scotland is looking to appoint a Marketing & Event Co-ordinator to assist the CEO in seeking and servicing fundraising and sponsorship programmes of the Games Council.

Kayak Crossing of the Atlantic

Peter Bray reached Ireland on Wednesday after paddling across the Atlantic. The trip took two and half months. Peter's kayak was 7 metres long and measured .9m at its widest point. He used Lendal paddles. See also the web site of the crossing which has details and diagrams of the kayak.

Scottish Paddler Wins Marathon World Cup Silver Medal

Congratulations to Andy Morton of Kirkcaldy Canoe Club won a silver medal in K1 in the 50 - 54 age group at the Canoe Marathon Masters World Cup at Stockton on Tees...

 

Glasgow to Edinburgh Marathon

Approximately a mile below Fochabers on the Spey, some parts of the banking are breaking away. Branches can be found mid-stream and potentially could be a hazard to those caught unaware. Please take due care!
