Individual
Learning Accounts (ILAs) are the new government incentives
to encourage individuals to take up learning.
Available
to over 18s in Scotland, they offer: · £150 contribution to
cost of a course in the first year · discounted system for
further learning each year.
The
catch. You pay a minimum £25 contribution to the course and
the balance left after the £25 and £150 has been deducted.

Relevance
to canoeing and kayaking. ILAs cannot be used for sport or
leisure activities - but - they can be used for courses leading
to a coaching qualification.
