FATAL ACCIDENTS STUDY – YOU CAN HELP

The Adventure Activities Licensing Authority have agreed to collate statistics on fatal accidents in adventure activities in the UK.

They will be collecting details of any fatal accidents in any adventure activity, to participants of any age, operating within any operational structure. They will collect these records between 1 January 2001 and 31 December 2003. Thereafter they will analyse the results, which AALA are confident will

demonstrate that adventure activities are statistically safe when compared with other activities.

You can help with this study by reporting any relevant fatalities to AALA. Contributions should be made on their “Fatal Accident Form”, although verbal and electronic reports are acceptable too.

For forms and more information about the study, please contact the AALA direct on:

029 2075 5715

or at:

17 Lambourne crescent, Cardiff Business Park, Llanishen, Cardiff CF14 5GF.
