Around 80 members and supporters, paddlers and non-paddlers,
were invited to a Strategic Planning Talkshop at Linlithgow
on 18 August 2001. The objective of the event was to highlight
priorities within four essential areas:
- Access,
- Excellence,
- Pathways
- Services.
The
day was extremely successful with 32 individuals attending
to give valuable feedback to the Strategic Planning Team and
Board of Management. As a result of this day, the following
ovewrall priorities relevant within each of the four areas
will be the focus of the next Corporate Plan:

and Information
- Raise
Public Profile
- Service
Clubs and Individuals
- Research
Funding Options
- Facilitate
Coaching and Personal Development.
The next
step will be to look at each of these priorities in depth
and determine targets and effective strategy for successful
delivery. If anyone would like more information, to submit
his or her own views or to become involved in the process
in future, please contact any of the Strategic Planning Team
members. There is no 'cut off' point.
