I know
- amazing as it sounds the SCA is looking for a volunteer
for a short term and specific piece of work!
There
are going to be spare pages in the guidebook (up to 28 but
probably less) which could be filled with advertising that
could create lots of lovely dosh for the Access Fund, give
our local services, manufacturers and retailers some publicity.
Some one is required to do the following work to put this
into place:
1) Identify
potential advertisers, particularly organisations aimed at
providing goods and services to recreational paddlers in Scotland.
Types of advertisers could include: · manufacturers, retailers,
accommodation
e.g. bunkhouses · eateries · tourist boards and places to
visit when the water is low
2) Work
out a pricing structure based on size of advert and type of
organisation - e.g. bunkhouses could have a 'themed' page;
other adverts could be sold on a page/half page/quarter page
basis.
|
3) Contact
advertisers by letter and follow up phone call
4) Liaise
with Franco (publisher) regarding amount of pages available.
5) Issue
technical requirements for adverts on sale.
6) Ensure
the adverts meet requirement and forward to publisher.
7) Issue
invoices
Time is
looking tight as the book is due to be published in May although
there may be 'slippage' in the timetable. It would be safe
to say that it would need to be completed by the end of March.
