The Scottish Champs
The scottish slalom championships is traditionally held on Grandtully the first weekend in October. It used to be held in the summer to get the best weather but a number of years of very low river levels prompted a change.
The friendly and relaxed nature of the event attracts many paddlers out of retirement to compete and whether they challenge for Titles or not a good time is had by all.
The recent combination of the event with the Inter Services Champs has simplified the running of the event even further, more socialising less course construction!
Eligibility
Scottish champs is open to paddlers of all abilities. However to be eligible for titles and medals you must be member of SCA Ltd., and be Scottish OR have lived in Scotland for 9 of the previous 12 months. A condition of entry is that paddlers assist in both construction and destruction of course
