Hello and welcome to the new SCA Slalom sub-site.
These web pages are mostly incomplete and construction is currently postponed due to technical considerations until the new main SCA website is launched.
It is still possible that you might find something useful or interesting but prepare to be frustrated by many pages being incomplete. It is hoped that this sub-site will give you a flavour of what might eventually be available. Hence many pages contain a description of what they might become but not any actual content.
It is a very exciting time for Scottish slalom canoeing with Campbell Walsh recently winning the Silver medal at the Athens Olympics to become without doubt the most succesful Scottish slalom paddler ever. To find out more about Campbell check out his new website www.campbellwalsh.com.
Slalom is, in my opinion, the most exciting competitive canoeing discipline. The whitewater, the variety, the risk, the pressure, the pain, sometimes the heartache but every so often the feeling when you are perfectly in tune with the water and you absolutely nail something yet it feels effortless are all just part of what motivates athletes such as Campbell to search for the perfect run.
If you are inspired to give slalom a go, and you really should, get in touch with the slalom committee and they will do their best to point you in the right direction.
It is possible that this page will eventually contain the following.
- Latest News headlines
- Latest Features
- Brief description of the sport and Scotlands history within it.
- How to get started...
- Upcoming Events

p.s. I don't really need to know about any spelling mistakes but if you feel you must you can tell me about them as well.
