Chief Executive Officer

The Scottish Canoe Association is the governing body for the sport in Scotland and is the Scottish element of a Federalised UK Governing Body. It is responsible for overseeing a broad range of canoe related activities, including high level competition, recreation and coaching.

We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and self motivated leader to front our organisation.

To be successful in this role our CEO will have:

• An energetic commitment to, and enthusiasm for, the ideals of sport and the leisure industry
• An entrepreneurial approach to development
• A proven practical background in marketing and brand management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Sound financial management experience
• Proven ability in the development and implementation of strategies to professional standards
• A consultative style of working
• The ability to advise and support a governing Board
• Superior organisational and time management skills
• Experience and enthusiasm to act in a global environment

Experience of working in a volunteer led environment would be an advantage

Salary to be negotiated in the region of £32,000.
