Treweryn Premier Race Rescheduled

Following discussions with local farmers, landowners, Gwynedd Council, MAFF and the Environment Agency, I can now confirm that we will run the Premier Race rescheduled from 4th March on 25th March. Control measures are in place and some restrictions to access of parts of the site will be necessary (no access the stilling basin area or far river bank) which I'm sure everyone will understand and cooperate with.

If possible, do not bring dogs with you, or if you must, please ensure that they are close by you at all times. Apart from Foot & Mouth it is the lambing season.

Those Div1 and below paddlers who had entered the original race because of England selection, will receive a refund of their entry fees. If you would still like to paddle you'll be most welcome to come and judge. We are always short of judges so if you're not paddling, please come anyway and help out.

The Campsites in Bala are open although Tyn Cornel may not be (01678 520759, Jill Franklin). Accommodation available at The Berwyn Arms, Glyndyfrdwy (01490 430210, Jenny Broughton). Bala Tourist Information can be contacted on 01678 521021, Canolfan Tryweryn general information 01678 521083 and Waterline 01678 520826.

Its going to be a busy weekend with the HPP race on Saturday and don't forget to put your clocks forward on Saturday night.

The start list will be sent out very soon and should be available on the slalom website courtesy of Nick Penfold.

I hope to see you all on the 25th Good racing

David Wakeling
