Tweed There seems to be some building work going on at Manorbridge above Peebles (July 02). The scaffolding wasn't obstructing the river when we paddled down, but something to be aware of if you're paddling this stretch. It is possible to access the stretch down to Makerstoun rapid and on to Kelso from the cottage at Rutherford Lodge and leave cars in the field by the cottage. However, the owner would like to be informed, especially by groups. e-mail for contact details. If in doubt put-in at Newtown St Boswells. Contributed
