Tay (Grandtully)
Following
logging operations at the SCA access point at Edradynate on the
upper river Tay, the forested area has been returned to cultivation
as a field and fenced. This has caused uncertainty among paddlers
about the access position. The SCA has discussed the situation
with Michael Campbell, owner of Edradynate Estate, and with Martin
Kennedy, the tenant farmer. Canoeists are welcome to continue
to use the SCA Access point. New signs have been posted on the
gate at the roadside and at the riverside. Mr Kennedy will be
turning the field to grass late this year. Please try to keep
cars to the hard-standing road and turning circle. Do not drive
over the cultivated part of the field. In particular please remember
to keep the gates shut.
