Avon
Keep an extra
look out on the Lower Avon - a tree was reported to be lodged across
the main (left) chute under the high bridge at Chatelherault. It
is said to be just passable hard left and could well be very tricky
in big water. (The situation may of course change quickly)
The big weir
at Larkhall that is a scrape down the left can be shot in short
boats over the 4 metre vertical right side even at high flows. There's
a semi-circular lip at the bottom that shots you thought the stopper.
The weir at the bottom of the grade 3 section (near Hamilton) can
be shot hard river right at higher flows.
