Isle of Cumbrae, Firth of Forth

The Marine Conservation Society's (MCS) Annual UK Beach Clean-up and Litter Survey

Saturday 18 th and Sunday 19 th September 2004

•  MEET AT FAIRLIE, SATURDAY MORNING

•  PADDLE TO THE ISLE OF CUMBRAE

Volunteers will be asked to remove all the litter from various beaches on the island, recording every item that they find.

This data will then be sent to MCS for analysis.

•  THEN A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY :

CAMPING OVERNIGHT ON LITTLE CUMBRAE ISLAND

An island which has been private for over 100 years!

The Marine Conservation Society (MCS) “BEACHWATCH” beach clean and survey is a national event that has taken place every September since 1993.

It is organised by the MCS with help from its members, supporters and the general public.

“Touring” has chosen various beaches on the Isle of Cumbrae, Firth of Clyde for its contribution to the event this year.

Everyone is welcome, so why not come along? Have some fun as well as participating in a major conservation initiative.
