A Surf Road –Show will be prepared and delivered round Scotland.  This will market the Surf Competitions and other events, and build a volunteer base.

A group under the direction of the Team Manager will develop / ensure attendance at the following: individual training plans, training weekends, annual training camp, attendance at competitions in Scotland, team selection, attendance at British and Home International Championships and the World Championships.

5 We will create an annual series of four “Development Weekends”. They will cover the areas of awareness / participation, and competition development. Each area to benefit from the presence of the other. We will provide access to high quality coaching, good equipment and a worthwhile venue. These weekends will have 3 paid coaches at each. They will work with trainee coaches in an apprentice system to gain experience prior to qualification. These weekends will be open to all, but specifically targeting: Youth and influential paddlers, as described earlier. Training being offered to potential leaders outwith competition, student and club leaders for example.

6 We will support the first Student Championships at Sandend in 2001.

They will develop the resources necessary and run a number of courses to train and qualify Competition Surf Coaches : 6 Level 2 Coaches and 2 Level 3 Coaches. The Level 2  to have been completed by the end of 2001.
