SCA Surf

Surfing with the best.
Scottish Kayak Surfers may be limited in number, but they are competing on equal terms  with the best in the world, with excellent results.

Where
On every coast and on the Islands, there are surf conditions to be enjoyed that can rival anything in Europe for Wave Quality.

How
Once you have mastered a few simple wave-riding moves, the ocean can provide the raw power and there lies the excitement.

Get Surfing
To get involved, contact any of the committee for advice on beaches and conditions. Come along to a free-surfing weekend, or competition for informal friendly coaching, or just good paddling company.

Events
Phone the Organiser on the Thursday prior to the event for the up-to-date decision on where and when, and take it from there!

Surf Scotland
Kayak Surfing, at its best, is done in conditions of glassy clean waves on a point-break. In practice, ideal conditions do not occur on demand, but fun is had nevertheless

Who is interested?
According to one survey, about half of the SCA membership is interested in surfing their Canoes and Kayaks.

Excitement
Free-Surfing is probably the most exciting day at the beach you could ever spend, but you need to know about the weather and sea conditions.
