Kirkcaldy CC Training Sessions to Restart

At the Committee meeting on 21st March it was agreed that training sessions on Kinghorn Loch should restart on Saturday, 24th March, at 10:30am.

There will be one other Saturday session on March 31st and then the Tuesday and Thursday sessions will begin on 3rd March at 6.30p.m.

We have made this decision with the agreement of the Ecology Centre as there are no animals on the farm, and the Council has agreed restricted access to the Loch.

This means people can go to the Car Park, but the woodland walk is closed, as is the path through the farmyard. We would ask that no dogs are brought to the Loch.

Paddlers can get on to the water at the Car Park as usual, but they should not get out of their boats at any other point, especially beyond the bay towards the bird hide.

The safety boat will be on the water and should you capsize stay with your boat and do NOT swim to the bank. I would remind you that many people think that all open areas are 'closed' so please behave in a sensible way and do nothing that could cause people to make complaints about canoeists in general and our Club in particular.

Having said all that, please pass the message on that the Club is back in action and come along for a paddle and help the Club get back to norma aas quickly as possible. Any queries please e-mail or phone Yvonne Yost (01592 201806).
