Hands Quaich
Ian
Webster and Malcolm Chisolm both received engraved
SCA gold medals after being nominated for the Willing Hands
Quaich at the recent AGM. Following a contribution of over
25 years to the sport as instructor, tour organiser, committee
member, asessor, competitor, diarist and environmentalist
Ian was awarded the Quaich. Malcolm was nominated following
19 years as organiser of the Kirkcaldy Canoe Club River Tay
Marathon.

Life Membership
Honorary
Life Membership: during the year, the Board had bestowed the
gift of Life Membership on Bruce Beeley, a former Vice-President
of the SCA and an active paddler for over 60 years. At the
October AGM Honorary Life Membership was awarded to John
Young Senior, who had been a member of the SCA for over
55 years and who had introduced thousands of paddlers to the
sport in his long paddling career.
