sounds fine to me, esp. as I've never been there! Hope I can find it.

Probably take both OC1's and save the Nova/Guide combination for another day. I made the new seat today for the Guide, but of course it needs several coats of varnish before I put the webbing on.

So far I have fitted new thwarts, drilled and laced it, fitted 2 new 52" airbags, a couple of D rings, a mast foot and paddle park for the spare. I have done a few hull repairs too, and fitted much stronger grab loops for when I get it wrapped round a rock. Nothing like being pesimistic, or is it realistic? I took the deck plates off for some internal modification and to clean the green smelly stuff from the inside of the gunwales, along with some snails! This boat came from England, and you know what the water quality is down there. Anyway, now it has been jet washed twice and disinfected it is ready for Scottish waters just as soon as the seat is done. It pays not to rush the varnishing stage for obvious reasons.

Any body up for a mid week paddle next Wednesday?
