SCA COACHING CONFERENCE 2003. GLENMORE LODGE This year’s Coaching Conference is going to be held at Glenmore Lodge over the weekend of the 10-12th October. A booking form is available from the office, the website or Glenmore Lodge and obviously the sooner you get one and book with a deposit, the sooner you secure a place as numbers will be limited.
We are expecting an all-star cast to deliver the conference this year, which will be finalised soon, so wait and be surprised! The contents, as you can see from the advert is quite varied but the main focus is on developing our coaching in Scotland. There will obviously be an input on hard skill improvement for delegates but the main emphasis will be looking at how coaches coach in these areas and why they coach in that way. It’s an opportunity to observe some of the best top-level coaches in the country and steal their toolbox!
The format for the conference will be seminar based on the Saturday and workshop based on the Sunday. With the SCA AGM late on Saturday afternoon before dinner. After dinner there will be a ceilidh and then a whole variety of workshops on the Sunday.
Accommodation will be available at Glenmore Lodge on a residential or camping basis, and there is other accommodation locally if this does not suit.
We hope to have masses of demo boats as well as other stuff for you to look at and play with!
Whatever bone you chew on coaching wise, its an opportunity for the Scottish Coaching tribe to get together and bang some drums!
