South Glasgow Country Park Proposals

Glasgow City Council in conjunction with East Renfrewshire Council is currently undertaking consultation on a proposed country park to the south of Glasgow between Darnley, Barrhead and Newton Mearns.  The area includes three reservoirs owned by Scottish Water Waulkmill Glen, Ryatt Linn and Balgray.  The Land Reform (Scotland) Act will from later this year give you the right of responsible access to land and water in this area.  This includes the right to take canoes and other non-motorised boats on to the reservoirs in the area and the council would like your comments on the proposals.
