Ness

There is a collection of three trees blocking the south channel at the first island on the River Ness. The river advisor and chums have cleared away what's possible but there is a large mains power cable mixed up in what's left and a current too strong to make a chainsaw safe. Half the channel is clear however and there is another channel on the north side so as long as caution is used and beginers are not sent down the channel with the trees in it all should be OK.

The trees should move within a few weeks if there is some rain, though the cable issue is a bit worrying. If they have not moved by the end of May 2003 the electricity company will be contacted about the cable.
