Access 2000. Issues relating to countryside access

Loch Leven

The SCA have spoken to SNH (Scottish Natural Heritage) about access to Loch Leven, as currently there is a byelaw which prohibits access.

SNH is currently consulting on how access to the loch can best be established without causing disturbance to other users, and the wildlife and conservation interests which make Loch Leven such a special place. It is envisaged that 'local guidance' for users will be established and promoted via educational material and signage. You can contribute to the consultation process by contacting Richard Cooper

In the mean time the byelaw is still in place and It would be best if paddlers continue to keep off the loch while this review is underway.
